Can I benefit from coverage of my health expenses?
Students, Researcher

Yes, and two options are available. Either you have an employment contract (doctoral contract) or you have the right to the reimbursements of health insurance ("Sécurité sociale" or "Sécu"). If you don't have an employment contract, you have the right, as a student under 28 years old, to the "Student" health insurance ("Sécurité sociale étudiante"). If you are over 28, you must subscribe to a private health insurance or the Campus France health insurance if Campus France manages your scholarship.

Health insurance does not cover 100% of medical expenses, so you must subscribe to a complementary insurance ("mutuelle") costing about 300€/year in order to receive full reimbursement. For those with student status, there are two "mutuelles" available: LMDE or EMEVIA
