The academic year starts in September and ends in late August. The months of July and August are generally holidays, and activity sharply decreases during these months. Many doctoral schools are closed in August. Trainings and classes are available from September to June. However, if you are registered in a PhD/Doctorate, you don't follow the regular academic year and you have 5 weeks of holidays to organise as you wish.
